Huza Press calls on Rwandan writers to submit short stories for its RadioBook Rwanda project. Also, it invites both Rwandan and Kenyan artist to submit art pieces for the project. Huze Press will publish new writing and new artworks in collaboration with Kwani Trust and No Bindings.

The proposed RadioBook Rwanda book series will publish original artworks and three short stories as pocket-sized editions. The publication will be accompanied by sound pieces.

Any Rwandan writer and artist, and Kenyan artist residing in or outside Rwanda or Kenya can submit to RadioBook Rwanda. However, submissions must be written in either English, French or Kinyarwanda.

You can submit up to five pieces. Send your submissions to radiobookrwanda@gmail.com. Email your work as word doc attachments. Also, format your document as double space, 22 points and in New Times Roman.

For artworks, you can also submit up to five pieces. But, send your artworks as high res (300dpi) jpegs or pdfs. For all submissions, include a 100-words (max) biography and your contact details.

The team will produce the written and oral editions in English and Kinyarwanda. It will also launch the series in Kigali, Nairobi, and Bristol.

The team shall contact published writers by Feb. 15 and pay each £500.
