Transition Religion Call

Transition Religion Call
Deadline: Jan. 1, 2017

For the Transition Religion Call, submit your essays, interviews, poetry, fiction, and visual art that reflect on the role of religion in Africa and diaspora. Transition seeks fresh perspectives about the role and meaning of religion in the African Diaspora. Also, it seeks perspectives about conflict, and resettlement triggered by inter/intra-religious confrontation.

Transition accepts simultaneous submissions but does not accept multiple submissions.  Consequently, notify the team immediately if your submission has been accepted elsewhere. You can submit 5-7 poems, 1 short story, 1 essay, or 1 interview. Most relevant, submit your submissions electronically through Submittable. Otherwise, it recycles physical mail submissions without reading them.

Include a brief cover letter with a short author bio. Also, in your cover letter, include the following in the top left corner: name, email, address, the title of the work, word count or page count for poetry.

Pages should be numbered, with your name on every page. And submit only doc or pdf documents, written in Times New Roman, size 12. Same, you can submit images in .jpg, .tiff, .gif, or .png formats.
