2016 Etisalat Flash Fiction Award Deadline: Oct. 14.
Etisalat on Sept. 1 opened its 2016 Etisalat Flash Fiction Award. All you have to do is write 300 words of fiction. Etisalat opens its award to all African writers, resident anywhere in the world. As long as you haven’t previously published any short story, you can submit entries to the 2016 Etisalat Flash Fiction Award.
Submit your 300 words entry online, via the 2016 Etisalat Prize for Flash Fiction website. Submission ends Oct. 14. Then, Etisalat will open entries to the general public for voting on Nov. 1. You have till Nov. 30 to submit entries.
It will announce the top 50 entries on Dec. 2 While, it will announce the top three finalists on Jan. 11, 2017. Finally, it will announce the winner at the Award Ceremony in March 2017.
The winner will receive £1,000 cash prize and a high-end mobile device. The two runners-up will receive £500 cash prize and a high-end mobile device each. However, Etisalat will publish the top 50 2016 Etisalat Flash Fiction Award stories as e-book compilation by okadabooks.com. The e-book will be promoted online and via SMS. And, its print edition will be distributed at the award ceremony.
