While poets who desire to mail hard copies should send the poems and a completed entry form to Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, The Poetry Society, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2H 9BX. Ensure that your postal entry is post-dated on or before July 31, 2017.
Each year, the judges select 100 winners (85 Commendations and 15 Overall Winners). The winners receive their awards at an annual prize-giving event on National Poetry Day. And, winners will see their poems published in an anthology distributed to poets, teachers, students, libraries, schools and arts organizations right across the UK.
The team won’t respond individually to submissions or acknowledge postal entries unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included with the entry.
However, successful entrants will be notified. And the winners will provide a biography, photograph and permission form.
