Deadline: June 30.
After its last two themed issues, The Machinery has kept the theme open this time. You’re free to submit work in any genre, with any theme. You can submit up to 300-1000 words of flash fiction, up to 3 poems, and any artwork you may have.
You can submit flash fiction of any genre, from high school drama to high fantasies. Same with poetry, you can submit poems of any variety. It welcomes free verse, haiku, ballad, classical or anything else you can come up with.
Email your submission either as an attachment or embedded in the body of the email to mail.themachinery@gmail.com, with the subject ‘Submission’. Make sure you include a cover letter with your submission in the email. Also, include a 3-4 lines bio. You can also include links to your website or social media accounts. Also, it allows you to submit your artwork via Instagram.
It allows simultaneous submissions as long as you let its editor know when your work gets selected somewhere else. And, ideally, you should receive a response within a week of submission.
Direct all inquiries to mail.themachinery@gmail.com. The Machinery does not pay its contributors but will promote your work on social media.
