Praxis Magazine Online on Sept. 7 announced its first Praxis Magazine Online Poetry Contest anthology. It will begin to accept entries for the contest from Oct. 1. So, you’ve got about a month to prepare for the submission. Praxis Magazine Online will hold its poetry contest annually. It will select the best poems, chosen by a judge, for publications in its PDF anthology. JK Anowe, a 2015 recipient of the Festus Iyayi Award for Excellence in poetry, will be this year’s judge.
To apply, submit up to four poems in the body of an email to halima@praxismagonline.com. Please do not submit your poems as attachments. Also, include a brief bio statement. Write “2016 Contest Entry” as your email’s subject line.
Praxis Magazine Online will announce the long-list on Nov. 15. Consequently, it will notify those selected for inclusion in the anthology by the end of the year. It will also publish the names of the poets and poems on its website.
However, do note that it will publish the anthology, early Jan. 2017, as an exclusive content only for its email list subscribers. You should sign up for it if you wish to have access to the anthology.
