Stellenbosch University Museum encourages artists to submit proposals for artworks that engage with ideas around the future of higher education in the next 100 years. It will be exhibiting the artworks as part of the Stellenbosch University Centenary, open December 5, 2018. It wants compelling, innovative and thought-provoking works that will serve as catalysts for debate and engagement on the future of the university.
If you’re interested, submit your proposals for its selection panel to consider. All creative expressions are welcome, including visual artworks, video, installation, 3D, performance, interventions, music, poetry and other.
When submitting your proposal, submit a short artist bio, short description of proposed artworks, whether it exists or needs to be created, and the cost to deliver to and from Stellenbosch. The Stellenbosch University Museum will fund the delivery of works and installation of the works but won’t fund the materials themselves.
While the deadline for proposing an artwork is July 16, 2018, the deadline to deliver the selected artwork is September 28, 2018. Send proposals to uw2@sun.ac.za.
