Deadline: Sept. 10, 2018.
Poetica, a new African poetry magazine published by the African Writers Development Trust, is delighted to announce its maiden call for entries for its quarterly publication.
Dedicated to discovering the finest poems by African writers, the magazine seeks exceptional poems on the theme: The African Girl Child. The theme for the debut is in conformity with the African Writers Conference in Abuja later this year. Debut, emerging, and established writers are invited to submit their original, previously unpublished poems.
The magazine is open to any poetry style. However, it only accepts one poem per writer. Poetica also accepts reviews and articles on poetry and poetry-related subjects. Add to your submission should a very brief bio note.
Send your submissions to poetica@poeticamagazine.net.
Writers retain copyright of their work. While the team reserves the right to make edits to selected works to suit the publication. The magazine will be launched on Oct. 1, 2018, on the Poetica website.
