Deadlines: April 30th
The New Voices Award supports unpublished, unrepresented writers looking to develop a new work in progress. It provides mentorship and editorial guidance, encouraging entries from all backgrounds with an original story.
The prize is exclusively for unpublished writers. Writers must not be represented by a literary agent, or be under an existing or future contract to any publisher. The work submitted must not have been previously self-published, or have been published in full or in part through any publisher or other media.
To Enter:
- Submit opening 3 chapters (max 10,000 words total)
- Include a 1,000 word plot outline detailing the full story
- Work must be previously unpublished
- Writers cannot be represented by a literary agent or under a publishing contract
The Award is sponsored by Bonnier Books UK, publisher of Wilbur Smith’s adventure novels. Bonnier provides funding and editorial feedback, aiming to empower new writers in the genre fiction space.
This is an opportunity exclusively for unpublished, unrepresented writers only. Entries open January 1st. Early bird submissions close February 16th, with final deadline on April 30th. Winners will be revealed in Autumn 2024.
