Submit to Brittle Paper‘s I love African Literature writing contest and stand a chance to win $100. The contest is open to everyone: old, youthful, aspiring writer, seasoned writer, African, non-African, etc. If you read and love African literature, here’s your chance to prove it.
To enter the I love African Literature writing contest, write a 300-350 word affirmation of love to African literature as your romantic partner. For better context, imagine you’ve been together for six years and things are not all together rosy at this moment. But, you still love your partner: African literature and want to fight for it, making things right.
Sounds easy? Yes, because it is. After writing the love affirmation, submit your entry to brittlecontest@gmail.com with your name, address, a phone number, a short bio, and a photograph of yourself. Also include a screen shot of your Twitter handle which follows must follow Brittle Paper on Twitter.
You can either send the work as an attached word document or simply paste it in the body of the email. Do not exceed the 350 word limit. That’s it!
The top five will be announced on July 18, wherein Brittle Paper’s readers will vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced on July 31.
