The Neoverse Short Story Writing Competition aims to publish first-rate short stories while rewarding and incenting authors through cash prizes.  It aims to connect storytellers with readers and to do so in a modern digital age.

Provides visibility to authors by publishing all short-listed submissions (top 20 entries) in both printed and ebook formats. Provides recognition for authors by allowing them to use the name and logo in their own promotional material free of charge.  We provide digital assets (e.g. a ‘sticker’) that winning authors may use on their book covers, websites and other promotional material.

The Competition is judged in a unique way. The judging panel is chaired by the award winning novelist Aaron Safronoff (Spire, Evening Breezes), but the inputs to the final decision are sourced from digital feedback left by a broad set of judges.  This judging panel is double blind – authors do not know the judges and judges do not know the authors.  They read story submissions via a digital e-reader specifically designed for secure reading and built to gather feedback.  We love the traditional printed word, but when it comes to handling many submissions, accumulating and tracking feedback and data we believe digital reading is the best tool for the job!

Deadline: December 20, 2015. No submission fee.
