Dwart seeks original, compelling pieces for its Uprooting issue that touch on this through such subthemes as death, spiritual disconnection, physical distancing, cultural alienation, memory loss. Dwart accepts fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, and arts & photography. Send pieces that break stereotypes, with extraordinary confidence.
Email previously unpublished works to dwartsonline@gmail.com. Include your short bio in the document you send. Write as your subject line the category you’re submitting to.
For poetry, send a maximum of two poems, no longer than 30 lines. Put both poems in a single document. Do not send them separately.
Also, your fiction submissions should be between 600 and 3,000 words. It wants compelling, startling sentences and fluttery story lines. Nonfiction pieces should be creative, informative and no more than 2,000 words. Your dramatic short plays should be a maximum of six A4 pages with consistent formatting.
Send two-four artworks or creative photographs that adhere the theme of Uprooting as PDF files.
Finally, Dwart will publish Uprooting: Issue #3 in April 2017 as a PDF and on its blog: dwartonline.com.
