Submit to the Anansesem Love Theme Issue

Anansesem submission calls
Deadline: not dated.

Anansesem publishes children’s and young adult fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and illustration. It currently accepts submissions for its September 2017 issue, with a “Love”  theme. Interpret personally or broadly what love means to you, the community, and the world in general.

Send in up-to-five poems, one 2,000-word max short story, one 2,000-word max nonfiction, and a collection of up-to-five images. Type your submissions in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font with one-inch margins. And double-space your fiction and nonfiction submissions. Submit only English language submissions. Although, it will accept either American or British spelling and Caribbean Creoles.

Anansesem accepts simultaneous submissions as long as you immediately withdraw your submission if it gets accepted elsewhere. Also, it publishes previously published artwork provided you let the team know where and when it was published. However, it only puts in print new, original, previously unpublished poetry and prose.

Do not re-submit previously submitted material and do not contact Anansesem regarding the status of your submission. Wait two years before submitting new work if you have been published in two consecutive issues of Anansesem. It allows the submission of multiple works.
