Jalada Africa is a pan-African writers’ collective. It aims to publish literature regularly by African authors, making it as easy as possible for any member to publish anything or execute any literary project as quickly and effectively as possible.

SciBraai is a proudly South African NPO dedicated to science journalism, communication and outreach. It features stories about South African research, technology and innovation, and the people behind the discoveries.
This blog welcomes all South Africans to go behind the scenes of local science and exploration endeavors. It’s a place to share stories about the scientists themselves and the interesting, little-known activities that are often left out of research journals. A place to learn more about the stuff that makes South African science and its people tick. A place to feel inspired about what South Africans are discovering on home soil and abroad. Because local is lekker, no matter what language you use.
Promotes, enthuses and celebrates contemporary African writings. The African Street Writer(TASW) publishes literary works of writers from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and others countries and off-course, from African writers abroad.
The Swala Tribe is a Rwanda-based platform seeing the rise for poets and illustrators alike. We are now seeking submissions for our debut poetry anthology from African poets and those of African background. Send up to three of your best, previously unpublished poems of any length style, genre & theme. All poems should be primarily in English
Submissions should be sent as Word document to theswalatribe@gmail.com with the subject line “Submission: The Swala Tribe Poetry Anthology” and your bio (100 words max) in the body of the message, together with the author’s links to their Social Media pages, blog and/or website, etc… If sending more than one poem, make sure they are all in one document and each poem titled separately. Again, if your poem(s) happen to have a special way of formatting, let it be known at the foot of the document with ‘NOTE THAT:’, all caps. Deadline is on March 31st, 2019 at 11:59pm CAT
Writers retain copyright of their work right after publication but are required to mention us as the first publishers if the piece(s) happen to be published somewhere else. However, the Swala Tribe team reserves the right to make edits to selected works that suit the publication but artist will be notified and their consent to those edits sought for.
Note that we do NOT accept simultaneous submissions.
Wasafiri is Britain’s premier magazine for international contemporary writing. Published quarterly, it has established a distinctive reputation for promoting work by new and established voices across the globe.
Wasafiri’ is Kiswahili for travelers. The name was chosen because many of those who created the literatures in whichWasafiri was particularly interested have all in some sense been cultural travellers either through migration, transportation or else, in the more metaphorical sense of seeking an imagined cultural home.
